Summer Fun

This has been a great summer. We visited Sherrie, and the kids had a blast. Poor Grant, still had his ID band on.

P.S. Thanks for the great birthday blanket.

LegoLand v.2.0

We went to LegoLand again this summer after enjoying it so much in 2007 (LegoLand and rides at LegoLand). As a prerequisite for a large family with young kids, we wore matching shirts again, too. (Somewhere Laura has a picture of the family at the 1984 Olympics wearing matching rainbow shirts.)

Our next big amusement park is Disneyland, but we are waiting until everyone is potty trained (Winter 2010?).

Happy Birthday, Larissa!

We had cake a couple days ago to celebrate Larissa's birthday, pre-tubes and with adenoids. I remember when she was so little. (Literally, 5 pounds is little!)

Double Hitter

I took these cute, young ones to surgery today. They are sleeping and tucked into their own beds right now.

Californian

When you are married to a history teacher, your San Diego vacation takes a unplanned, fun side track.

Grant loved the Russian submarine and the old military ships.
Just for fun: Imagine Grant and I going through that small submarine door.

Budding Musical Talent

I walked downstairs to see this! Raea practicing for her piano lessons.

I played the cello for over 6 years. I did multiple, music summer camps every year, private lessons, and belonged to the Phoenix Junior Symphony, but I still can count the times I practice on one hand. (I realize one of my biggest problems is that I couldn't tune my instrument well and didn't like the way it sounded.)

It is a shame I can't say her good choices are because of me.

I think the musical instrument you pick to play says a lot about you, a follow up blog is required.
