Another year and wiser, too

Yesterday I celebrated my birthday. I am grateful for my nice, quiet surprises.

I am super grateful for my husband who taught me that boys can be trained. Imagine my surprise when I check my online calendar and find a new massage scheduled and entered!

I love my little family.

The Littlest Cousins

The oldest cousin will leave for his mission soon, and he had his farewell today.  He will be leaving behind his littlest cousins.  They will be potty trained when he gets back.

I think the shouting to smile scared Annastasia.

Forever Family

When I was still secretly pregnant with my fifth, we visited the St. George Temple.  I felt peace, happiness, and completeness.

General Conference

I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Although I was raised Mormon, I was not truly converted until I went to college.

This weekend is General Conference where prophets give us modern day revelation.  (You know, the Old Testament never mentions appropriate uses of the internet.)

Before conference, I like to make a self analysis.  What do I want to learn?  How am I doing?

I have a perma-list of to-dos.  When I have a good day, I can think of ways to make the day even better.

My husband is the Ward Mission Leader, and when we got sister missionaries in the ward, I was implicitly called to be his assistant.  I am blessed to be near such women close to the gospel.  They directed me to the scriptures.

Wherefore, ye must press forward with a asteadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of bhope, and a clove of God and of all men. Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and dendure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eeternal life.

Perfect brightness of hope.  Perfect brightness.  Perfect.  Only in our faith.

We can't be perfect.

We were not meant to be perfect.

I will continue to find the right balance for me and listen for more guidance this weekend... the whole time loving my God... and you.

Phon D Sutton

We have begun a journey to really know local outdoor recreation areas.

I love that all the rivers are high from all the snow run off.

We found where the Verde River (rapids) meets the Salt River (smooth sailing). For April 1, the water wasn't too cold.

I wasn't sure I wanted to cross the waist high water, but I later fell for peer pressure.
