Birthday on the Farm

I enjoyed the day doing regular mom stuff, like doctor's appointments, baseball practice, dance recital, and a farm visit! Ethan's school went to the dairy farm, so you know I enjoyed some fresh ice cream. I had ice cream from a Holstein while Larissa's ice cream was from a Jersey cow. The Holstein was much better! (Picture courtesy of Shannon-thanks.)

Do you notice my new necklace with the four birthstones?

Easter

The Easter Bunny was so smart for bringing these sunglasses. The kids love them and rarely take them off.

How did the Easter Bunny know that I love my kids in matching shirts? (Please note on laps.)

On Accident

I have always rejoiced in the minimal sibling rivalry my kids subject me to, but it has been getting a little heated at my house lately.

Raea: MOM!!!!!!!
What?
Raea: Ethan scratched my face. Then he flew his hat at me. Then he started acting like a baby.
Ethan: It was all on accident.

Flat Stanley

Flat Stanley is everywhere lately!

We took him to the Natural History Museum, the library, the zoo, and the parking lot of the baseball stadium.

Thanks to our cousin Chase for passing on the fun.

Boring

I was helping Raea with her math homework when a waiting, frustrated Ethan yelled:

1 plus boring equals this is boring!

Oh, baby just wait!

P.S. Rachel, hope your birthday isn't boring.

So Fun

I don't know why I love this picture so much; Raea's wiggly tooth is sticking out, but the kids just wanted to play. My friend was so cool to just observe and take natural pictures. Later my husband said, "that was the least stressful family pictures ever."

And yes, I let them wrestle and play in the water, too.

Laura & Kim, it must have been an EO.

Sneak Peak

Like I mentioned before, this weekend we took family pictures. One of my MOPS friends is a talented photographer who is starting to take pictures on the side.

Larissa does not have nearly enough posts. I love this picture. you can tell so much about her. She is confident, independent, soulful, and loving. Even her scratch says something about her. A picture is truly worth a thousand words.

Oh, and she is very much a Daddy's girl!

Soccer Star

Ethan's soccer season just finished up. This was his first real season. I love looking at the improvement from day one to the end. Did you know Grant was the coach?
I also just found the CD for Raea's soccer picture from this year. Isn't nice having an aspiring photographer mom on the team?

That reminds me. This is my 1000th warning. Do not tell your kids you are getting family pictures! We are getting them tomorrow, and Raea busted her face open. Jumping off the swing when you are going as high as you can is so over-rated!

Does this make anyone else wanna have a pick up game? Let me know, and we can meet up on the green! I am itching to play.
